Throw away your Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint files for your next data presentation! Make your data tangible for your audience to effectively communicate a business case, keep people engaged and most importantly, act on the information for the good of the organization.

It's not enough to wrap graphics and fancy visualizations around data and deliver them in a slick package. All data has a voice. Someone must extrapolate meaning from the data — and then transform this meaning into a compelling story that moves people to shift their thinking or change their behavior. This hands-on workshop will have you developing a story around data to share on the spot with other attendees.

Workshop Objectives:

  • Craft an effective business value or need question to drive useful data collection.
  • Identify the contextual questions that need to be asked to transform data into information, knowledge, understanding and wisdom to improve how you analyze data and report on it.
  • Explain the three types of stories that may be resident within a set of data and the various outcomes and conversations they spark with others.
